This National Hero, referred to in Egypt as the Godfather of Oriental Dance was born in Cairo and started his career as a gymnast and then trained as a ballet dancer causing an enormous impact all over the world  .
In 1959 he formed the famous Reda Troupe. This troupe had 150 members.
As soloist, choreographer and artistic director he travelled with his troupe, making 4 world tours to 58 different countries, performing on the most prestigious stages in London, New York Moscow etc.
Many of his troupe dancers are now master teachers Raquia Hassan, Momo Kadous, Mo Gedam and Yosry Sherif. Mahmoud Reda has developed a special method of technique in the Egyptian Folklore and Oriental Dance (Raks Sharki). He was a principal actor and dancer in Egyptian movies and choreographed for Egyptian TV, plays and operas.
He has received awards from Presidents and Kings and he had the privilege to have been Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Culture from 1982-1990.     His performances have been a reference for all the great artists and today he continues with an amazing passion and respect for the "refined art of dance".

The Spanish dancer Nesma lived in El Cairo from 1993 till 1998 where she performed soloist with her own orchestra in more than 3,500 shows in prestigious clubs in El Cairo.        

Her career continued in the National Egyptian Folklore Ballet of which she was the only foreign dancer. Since then she dances and teaches all over the world.      

In Spain she founded her own dance school and the Al Andaluz Dance Company.  
In July and August 2008 the worldwide presentation of Sueños de Al-andalus took place in the Opera de El Cairo the Opera of Alejandria y la Ciudadela de Saladino in El Cairo.       

During 2007 and 2008 she appeared in the Auditorio de la Biblioteca in Alejandria in the show "The World Dances" with Mahmoud Reda.

 

BOZENKA
Meaning "touched by God," the name Bozenka suits this performer, whose gift for bellydancing enthrals audiences and inspires performers throughout the world. She distinguishes herself with an elegant, classic, earthy and charismatic style. She earned the prestigious title Miss America of the Bellydance 2000 and in July of 2006 she brought home the golden crown from the "Ahlan Wa Sahlan" dance festival in Cairo , Egypt where she was among 150 dancers from all over the world, captivating with her undeniably powerful yet uniquely graceful style.

  Bozenka has choreographed for pop star Shakira and entertained many celebrities including Sean Connery, Donald Trump, Hugh Hefner, Madonna, and Enrique Iglesias amongst others. Bozenka has been a belly dancing globe trekker, touring with the popular dance company, the Bellydance Superstars", as a featured soloist throughout the United States , Asia, Canada and Europe .   Her special teaching technique and her wonderful spirit make her workshops a fulfilling and motivating experience for all who attend.

MYRIAM SZABO (Portugal)

At the age of 12, Myriam Szabo was a soloist ballerina in the Russian Ballet of Irina Grjebina, she has been a yoga teacher and is a brown belt in Karate-Shotucan.
For 10 years she participated in meditation retreats and studied Budismo alone and in groups.
Myriam has been a soloist dancer in spectaculars organized by Shokry Mohamed accompanied by musicians from Luxor.     Her speciality  are the Danzas Zingaras (Gypsy Dances) from all over the world and the Egyptian Oriental Dance. After having worked in France and Portugal as a character dancer, model, festival producer and actress she created the project Danza Duende.  This project offers us a way to cultivate basic goodness in daily life so that life itself becomes the practice of art. Myriam has been teaching this in Europe since 1991.
The Danza Duende develops our courage and capacity to improvise, to create shapes and perceptions in space, adapt to change and express ourselves clearly and intensely through movement. "It allows us to appreciate and elevate our existence by means of dancing, to discover the art of being as we are and to awaken our free and loving nature".

Asi Haskal is an oriental dancer, owner of an oriental dancing school in Ramat Hasharon, Israel, and he designs costumes for dancers from all over the world.
As an Israelite he absorbed the classic Egyptian dance from his family and from the typical lifestyle of the Middle East.
At the age of 12 Asi started to dance and design costumes.
 He established good professional relationships with his favourite dancers (Nagoa Foad, Fifi Abdo, Dina, Sohir zaki, Mona El Said…) tailors and designers.
He has a joyful style characterized with masculine elements.
Asi is known as an “unusual” artist.   His unique style, charisma and charming personality are his identity.
 He is a well-loved performer who is very much in demand in Israel, the Arabic community and all over the world where he takes part in cultural events, festivals, fashion shows, TV productions and commercials.

Les Soeurs Tribales is the first Oriental tribal company in Italy and they have one of the most important schools of Oriental dance there.

They give classes all over Italy and appear on important TV shows. They are invited to take part in Tribal Dance Festivals in the U.S.A. Egypt, Belgium and the U.K.

Malika collaborates with Oriental Dance companies in the role of choreographer and performer. 

She puts a special emphasis on music in her shows and she always has live music and singers performing with her. 

She has made a profound study of the Arabic culture and she is dedicated to the traditional dances of the Oriental countries.

Anisa is the president of the first Oriental dance association in Valladolid the "Anisa Saghira Association" through which she organises different events related to the Oriental culture and dance, shows, workshops, discussions and appearances on television, radio and in the press. 

She is also the producer and organizer of the National Festival of Bellydance in Valladolid as well as directing the professional company "Oriental Dance Janaan".

This company is formed with different teachers from Valladolid and Madrid . She is an accomplished choreographer and is often invited to dance in festivals and events here in Spain and abroad.

MARÍA TEROL (Spain)

 

Maria is an expert and qualified teacher in Pilates from the Polestar school in Miami .

She has studied different forms of dance ballet- classic and jazz and oriental tribal dance. From very young she practised Hatha yoga and is a qualified teacher from the International School of Yoga in Madrid . 

Last October she opened a centre in Ronda called Inspire Pilates y Artes Espirituales .   

She has studied with the very best teachers and continues learning from them and their legacies, sharing with her pupils the marvellous experience of life, lived in the purest present, awaking our awareness even more.

 

 

 

Rut Montiel has a very long history of studies and formation in Yoga Physiotherapy and Massage.   It would be impossible to cite all the centres at which she has studied and completed courses.

She has worked at the Hospital Terrassa in Barcelona and travelled to India and Thailand studying the different methods of Yoga and Massage.

She has frequently participated in spiritual and meditation retreats in India and has done voluntary work in Nepal and Calcutta .

he is continuing her formation in Physiotherapy Formation and Personal Growth at the Human Psychology centre in Malaga . You will not fail to enjoy the workshops with this fascinating personality.
