Frigiliana is one of the most beautiful white villages in Spain, a fact proven by the many prizes it has received to that respect. Also known as the "Village of 3 cultures" where Arabs, Jews and Christians lived together in harmony throughout history is where the famous "Festival of the 3 cultures" is celebrated every year in the month of August with enormous success. |

We have chosen to celebrate the Festival here for its rich history of arabic roots, it was part of the Realm of Granada and one of the last arab strongholds before the Realm was conquered...
In Frigiliana a very decisive battle was fought called the ' Battle of the Rock of Frigiliana'.
Here the arabs
resisted until the very last moment before being conquered
by the christian troops.
